Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and punctuality. We are willing to assist with relocation to the Santa Rosa Beach area to include initial lodging. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to relocate to one of the most beautiful areas in the South Eastern United States.

This is a part-time job running small deliveries in the local area (within a 5-20 mile radius at most). We are open to your schedule. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who would like to make extra money or is looking for a lighter schedule prior to retirement.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles including dump trucks (main vehicle), tractor-trailers, and flatbed trucks for the delivery of freight.
• Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
• Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
• Communicate with dispatcher regarding any issues or delays during transportation.
• May also be required to occasionally operate bobcats or loaders (training can be provided).

Experience

• Proven experience as a truck driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is highly preferred, but we are willing to work with new CLD drivers.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred, but not necessary..
• Experience operating various types of trucks including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and delivery vehicles.
• Strong understanding of safe driving practices and traffic laws.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• MUST be able to pass a background check and a drug test prior to starting employment.

Job Type: Full-time
