Summary of Performance Expectations:
The CDM Analyst plays a crucial role in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management. This position will be responsible for assisting the Audit CDM Coordinator in maintaining the Charge Master and ensuring the list of billable services is accurate and compliant. This position will stay current on industry standards, legal mandates, and reporting requirements. The CDM Analyst will work with hospital departments on their Charge Masters and provide education and training as needed. They will also monitor proper CDM coding and charge capture to maximize reimbursement. In addition, there are various billing and claim rules that this position will evaluate, and update as needed. This position will also be responsible for analysis and reporting to evaluate the financial impact of billing practices.
Education & Credentials:
Required
Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or related field
Preferred
CPC – Certified Professional Coder, bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field
Work Experience:
Required
Two years related experience working in hospital business office, managed care company, or hospital/physician coding department. Knowledge of medical clinical documentation requirements.
Preferred
Knowledge of third-party payer reimbursement requirements.
