Responsibilities:

Support Senior Designer.
- Develop clear and comprehensive tech packs for factories.
- Correspond with factories/vendors to ensure all styles are within spec requirements including communicating all fit comments.
- Work with Design to ensure fit, balance, and aesthetics throughout the pre-production process, within the calendar deadline.
- Self manages workload based on calendar due dates and development deadlines. Knows how to prioritize with a sense of urgency and organization.
- Maintain development charts for tech packs, protos and sample status. Following up with factories as needed to maintain calendar deadlines.
- Updates tech packs with current information for BOM, construction templates, and measurements for development through production.
- Maintain professional & clear daily communication with cross functional team and factories regarding construction details, fit and pattern issues.
- Updates tech packs with current information for BOM, construction templates, and measurements, where applicable.
- Issues grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval.
- Attend proto fittings to review overall fit, balance, and details of garment and attend production fittings for Senior Designer when needed. Send proto comments to factories.
- Work with assistant designer to help assist in opening tech packs, updating sketches, updating trims, fabrics, misc details in tech packs as needed.
- Prepares for fittings, by measuring sample to be fit, cross-examine sample against style tech pack and against the previous fit samples to ensure previous comments have been corrected, bringing previous fits to fit session for review if needed.
- Knowledge of pattern making, draping, measuring, garment construction, grading, and factory production.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or Certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, Patternmaking, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in apparel industry including construction experience with full knowledge of development process, and timelines for wovens and cut and sew knit product categories.
- Knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, sewing techniques, trim and technical knowledge of fabric and construction.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.
- Knowledge of Centric/PLM is a bonus.
- Extreme attention to detail & very organized.
- Ability to analyze workload and plan accordingly with exceptional follow-up skill.
- Multitasking - Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload and tasks.
- Strong work ethic, able to self-motivate, work with cross functional teams and make call outs that displays efficiency for the teams and future endeavors.
Please note the annual salary for this full-time position is dependent on experience starting at $85,000.
