Central Securities Depository Analyst

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Central Securities Depository Analyst (CSD)

In this role, you will:

  • Spearhead the creation of a governance framework for central securities depositories, ensuring the risk management model is rolled out with global consistency.
  • Manage significant risks identified through risk assessment or ongoing monitoring through appropriate committees and governance forums.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define the risk management framework and drive market advocacy in industry forums
  • Set up a small but impactful team in conducting risk reviews on central securities depositories, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure identified exposures are managed efficiently.
  • Assess the contingency plans of central securities depositories as well as regulatory changes for our resiliency management.
  • Implement processes in monitoring rulebook changes to ensure any corresponding changes are reviewed to ensure arising risks are reviewed and managed.
  • Oversee the management of the global data repository for central securities depositories to ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports.

To be successful you will:

  • To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial markets infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of central securities depositories as a type of financial markets infrastructure, including global regulatory frameworks, industry standards and operational resilience.
  • Strong expertise in risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring, specifically tailored to central securities depositories.
  • Strong understanding of key industry regulatory development around central securities depositories, e.g. shortening in settlement cycle.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management effectively.
  • Strong ability to think strategically for impact analysis to adapt to changing regulatory environments.
  • Experience with emerging trends in financial markets infrastructure, including block chain and digital currencies.
