The Department of Central Sterilizing Services is seeking to fill a full-time Central Service Technician on 2nd shift. This position will be available to work Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with rotating on-call/weekends/holidays located at the North Liberty Campus.
University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus opened in the Spring of 2025. This 469,000 square foot facility is home to UI Health Care’s nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient and surgical venues. This state-of-the-art clinical facility includes a full-service community imaging center, laboratory services, physical therapy, retail pharmacy, and emergency department as well as an array of support services. Under general supervision, this position performs technical duties involving all aspects of sterile processing: decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization, sterile storage, distribution of sterile medical devices and inventorying, stocking and distribution of medical supplies.
Position Responsibilities:
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm
Hourly: $18.40 to commensurate
Hours: Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm, rotating weekends, holidays, on call
Location: Medical Center North Liberty

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
1. High school graduation or equivalent, with courses in the physical and natural sciences and mathematics; or
2. One year experience in a hospital-related field that would provide a background in medical environment or sterile technique as it applies to medical supplies and equipment.
