Job Summary:

As the ESD Skyward Liaison, you will serve as the main connection between the Educational Service District (ESD) and Centralia School District. In this role, you’ll help ensure the Skyward Student Information and Financial Management systems are used effectively and accurately. You’ll work with district staff and ESD support teams to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and support consistent data entry and reporting across departments. You will also be responsible for training and supporting district staff to operate within Skyward confidently and in alignment with district and state requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience working in skyward
  • Knowledge and experience with supporting Microsoft operating systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, possess awareness (for self and others), listen actively, be patient, incorporate humor/lightheartedness into work, be empathic, and be customer-service oriented.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and occasionally with students and community members.

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge and or experience in Skyward SIS systems
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Skyward Student or Financial Management Systems (SIS/FMS) in a K–12 environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the primary technical and functional Skyward support contact for district staff, assisting with troubleshooting, guidance, and user training.
  • Provide comprehensive support for Skyward Student Information System (SIS) and Financial Management System (FMS) modules, including student records, payroll, and administrative tasks.
  • Manage data integrity and accuracy within Skyward, ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Oversee time-sensitive data management processes, including school year setup, rollover, and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain and monitor SIS data submissions to CEDARS and related state reporting systems; collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Serve as the District Security Manager for EDS systems by assigning, monitoring, and auditing staff access; provide related training as required.
  • Coordinate inter-district and external data communications, ensuring accurate data exchange with the Educational Service District (ESD), OSPI, and other agencies.
  • Lead or assist in system implementation projects, including migrations, module updates, and integration of new Skyward features.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for district staff, administrators, and relevant stakeholders to improve system proficiency and data consistency.
  • Ensure interoperability between Skyward and third-party software, collaborating with IT and vendors to maintain seamless data flow.
  • Provide training and resources for district employees, administrators, and sometimes families to maximize their use of the Skyward system.
  • Work to ensure the Skyward system can seamlessly communicate with other third-party software suites used by the school district.

Salary: $35.02 – $40.59, depending on experience

Work Schedule:, M-F, 4 hours per day, 260 days per year
