Our ideal candidate:
- Experience in gaming, hospitality, retail, entertainment, or other consumer-driven business is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; undergraduate degree preferred.
- Must have current knowledge of laws and regulations regarding employment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills required.
- Strong ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must be able to properly manage confidential information.
- Must know and be able to use various computer systems. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) preferred.
- Ability to speak, read and write Spanish is strongly preferred.
About the role:
- Develop and optimize weekly schedules for various departments based on business needs and labor standards.
- Observe departments to understand business volumes and staffing needs/opportunities.
- Coordinate with department leaders to ensure proper staffing levels and effective use of resources.
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to ensure optimal coverage and staffing levels.
- Review and approve time-off requests, schedule changes, and shift swaps.
- Collaborate with People & Culture team to ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Use Virtual Roster and UKG to manage scheduling standards.
- Analyze scheduling data and make recommendations for improvements in efficiency and productivity.
- Assist the Workforce Planning Manager in scheduling and administrative responsibilities for the assigned areas of the property, including payroll, attendance, and timekeeping
A few more things:
- Must be able to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and occasional nights.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a phone, pc computers/laptops, fax machine and photocopier.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to weigh facts and make recommendations that best support goals of the Company.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
Depending on experience, pay starts at $60,000 annually.
