Certified Advanced Aesthetician and Treatment Provider

JOB SUMMARY

We are a private Dermatology practice located in NE Portland in a National Historic Landmark building. We are a smart and loyal team of dedicated healthcare professionals and wish to add a like-minded individual to our growing team. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Advanced Aesthetician to consult and administer the aesthetic line of business services offered to the Knott Street Dermatology patient clientele. The candidate will create an atmosphere that reflects a level of high standards by maintaining and enhancing the health and well-being of the dermatology patient. To be successful in this position, the candidate must be cheerful, friendly, polite, tactful, and professional in appearance and manner always. They will be able to evaluate and respond to patient needs and relay instructions. The successful candidate will be a team player and respectful of his/her co-workers. The candidate will facilitate patient flow, chart appropriately, maintain records, keep the clinical area well stocked with current supplies, perform various administrative tasks, and perform telephone triage all while demonstrating teamwork, customer service, effective use of resources, and showing initiative.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS/ABILITIES)

Must have proven oral and written communication skills; as well as excellent customer service skills, ability to effectively work as a team member, ability to highly manage multiple tasks simultaneously, well organized and excellent attention to detail, quick on feet, calm under pressure, must have confidence and be eager to learn and help, highly flexible and able to take direction with minimal supervision, and ability to prioritize. Must be extremely flexible, good at actively listening, reliable, and always treat co-workers and patients with respect.
Minimum of 1-year aesthetic experience required.
This role requires someone who is self-motivated, independent, and who can build a strong rapport with patients and staff alike
Certified Advanced Aesthetician
Maintain and hold laser safety officer certification
At least 1 year of Sciton Laser experience

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Certified Advanced Aesthetician will work directly with the Head of the Aesthetic Department and indirectly with the Clinic Administrator to ensure the highest possible efficiency. This position includes, but is not limited to, the following:

TREATMENT PROVIDER RESPONSIBILITIES (85%):

1. Conduct patient consultations on all aesthetic services offered at Knott Street Dermatology, working closely with Dr. McCarthy, the Aesthetic department head, to determine appropriate treatment protocols for patients, refer appropriate medical screenings prior to treatments, and coordinate treatment plans for patients.

a. CoolSculpting, contouring bodies through freezing unwanted fat

b. Sciton BBL, Moxi and Halo, reduction of vascular, pigmented lesions and rosacea

c. Laser Hair removal- Sciton Laser system

d. MicroNeedling with SkinPen

e. Chemical Peels with Skin Medica

f. Product Sales (Revisions, Obagi, Elta MD, SkinBetter, and TiZo)

g. Certified and trained to perform all aesthetic treatments.

h. Have a high level of comfort discussing appropriate treatments and price

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES (15%)

1. Ordering and monthly inventory of all consumables and products

2. Weekly posting on social media accounts

3. Create relationships with reps for aesthetic products (Allergan, Galderma, etc)

4. Create treatment and product specials

5. Manage corporate rewards programs

6. Hold events for patients

7. Continually train on new techniques and services in demand

8. As a department, create a specific marketing message
