Certified Athletic Trainer (AT-C)

Company Overview: Rincon Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a medical clinic specializing in diagnosing and treating traumatic and musculoskeletal brain injuries. Our comprehensive team of practitioners work closely with each and every patient to create and implement a detailed, humanistic treatment plan that takes into account all aspects of a patient’s condition, both seen and unseen injuries, to reach one goal – improving that patient’s quality of life by helping them achieve functional independence.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care

  • Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
  • Prepare charts with patient demographic and basic information documentation
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
  • Conduct initial patient exams and document findings
  • Coordinate care with treating providers
  • Obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
  • Administer testing including: Neurodiagnostic, EEG, Right Eye, VOMS, etc.
  • Complete all ordered referrals
  • Set-up injections and dispense medications
  • Assist clinicians as needed with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
  • Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments
  • Triage patients as needed
  • Check-out patients and order any MRI’s or labs needed
  • Maintain clinic and equipment at all locations

Expert Witness Support

  • Assist with scheduling intake exams and expert witness sessions
  • Perform initial record reviews
  • Conduct patient interviews to document medical history and timelines
  • Support expert witness during initial exams
  • Assist in developing expert reports
  • Develop workflows for expert/treater reporting processes

Support Duties

  • Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, and check-in patients
  • Complete medication and medical supply inventories
  • Send out weekly referrals
  • Collect, organize, and interpret data
  • Communicate directly with clinical partners
  • Assist Front Desk as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working in the medical field
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (must maintain certification)
  • CPR certification
  • Evidence-based clinician with skills in evaluation, first aid, and treatment
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Ability to document accurately and concisely
  • Strong professional communication skills
  • Willingness to travel one to two times per week for staff meetings, training, and testing, increasing based on business needs

Interaction/Supervision:

Maintain professionalism when interacting with peers, co-workers, patients, attorneys, vendors, and management

4 X 10 Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Start Date: July 20, 2026, with 2 weeks of training in Sacramento through July

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
