Certified Caregiver Needed for Immediate Day-Time Shifts

Always Best Care Senior Services of Alexandria is looking for care professionals to provide in-home personal care services in the greater Alexandria area. We are seeking experienced professionals who are caring, flexible, and always willing to learn.

Pay: $18 – $19/hr

Shift Details: Immediate openings for day-time shifts between 7am - 7pm. Candidate must be available during these times throughout the week/weekend. CNA certification or license, or PCA certificate required.

What you’ll do:

• Provide companionship and engage meaningfully with the client.
• Assist client with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transfers.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and light cleaning.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health and behavior.
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant certification or license (i.e. CNA, HHA, PCA) sponsored by Virginia Board of Nursing
• Previous experience as a caregiver or related field
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting clients
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Two (2) professional references
• Ability to pass criminal record check
