Certified Dental Assistant: Part-Time

J.B. Dental is seeking an experienced part-time dental assistant who wants to grow and gain new knowledge in our growing private practice. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, dependable, and willing to help with any aspect of the practice. As the dental assistant you must feel comfortable with digital x-rays, impressions, and basic dental assisting.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year in dental assisting experience
• X-ray certification
• CPR certification
• Graduate from Dental Assisting School
• High School Diploma
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Well-organized and reliable

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Maintain accurate patient records

Hours of Operation: Non-negotiable days are Wednesdays and Thursdays

• Monday 7:30AM-5PM
• Tuesday 6:45AM-2PM
• Wednesday 8:30AM-6PM
• Thursday: 7:30AM-5PM
• Fridays: 7:30AM-3PM
