Certified Laser Specialist (Lumenis PiQo4 Expert)

Position Overview

Bella Derma Boca Spa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Laser Specialist with hands-on expertise using the Lumenis PiQo4 system. The ideal candidate must be formally trained and certified by Lumenis and confident in performing a wide range of picosecond laser treatments safely and effectively.

This is a high-impact role focused on delivering exceptional clinical results, maintaining patient safety, and driving revenue through advanced aesthetic treatments.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Treatments

• Perform advanced treatments using the Lumenis PiQo4 including:
• Tattoo removal (all ink types and colors)
• Pigmentation correction (sun spots, melasma, hyperpigmentation)
• Skin rejuvenation/laser toning / carbon facials
• Acne scar treatment (fractional mode)
• Select appropriate wavelengths, spot sizes, fluence levels, and treatment parameters based on patient skin type and condition
• Accurately identify treatment endpoints and adjust in real time

Patient Care & Safety

• Conduct thorough consultations including Fitzpatrick skin typing
• Develop customized treatment plans and package recommendations
• Ensure strict adherence to all laser safety protocols and guidelines
• Educate patients on pre- and post-care instructions
• Manage and mitigate risks such as PIH, burns, or adverse reactions

Business & Revenue Contribution

• Recommend treatment packages and maintenance plans
• Upsell complementary services (PRP/PRF, microneedling, skincare)
• Maintain high client satisfaction and retention
• Support promotional campaigns and treatment launches

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate treatment records and consent documentation
• Ensure compliance with Florida state regulations and spa policies
• Stay up to date with latest laser protocols and advancements

Required Qualifications

• Verified training and certification from Lumenis (REQUIRED)
• Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience with PiQo4 or equivalent picosecond laser
• Strong understanding of:
• Laser physics (pico vs nano)
• Wavelength selection (1064, 532, etc.)
• Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI
• Treatment endpoints and parameter adjustments
• Experience performing:
• Tattoo removal
• Pigmentation treatments
• Skin rejuvenation procedures
• Active Florida license (as applicable: RN, PA, NP, Medical Aesthetician, or Electrologist depending on scope)
• Strong consultation and sales ability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a high-end medical spa environment
• Ability to combine laser treatments with advanced modalities (PRP, microneedling, etc.)
• Proven track record of client retention and treatment package sales
• Social media presence or willingness to participate in marketing content
