Medical Assistant – Multi-Location Travel Role
Full-Time | $19–$23 per hour | South Jersey

TRAVEL REQUIRED – This position requires regular travel to all Premier Orthopaedic Associates locations throughout South Jersey. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be flexible with scheduling to support coverage needs across multiple offices.

Locations include: Cherry Hill, Deptford, Elmer, Linwood, Mullica Hill (MOB and Tomlin), Sewell, Vineland, and West Deptford.

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant is an integral part of our clinical team, directly supporting orthopaedic providers and delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical assistance, and administrative responsibilities in a busy orthopaedic setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to and support all South Jersey locations as assigned
  • Room patients and ensure a professional, welcoming experience
  • Obtain patient histories and vital signs; accurately document in EMR
  • Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures
  • Prepare and draw injections for provider administration
  • Assist with suture/staple removal and casting (training provided)
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms and sterile equipment (including autoclave)
  • Facilitate orders including physical therapy scripts, labs, and drug testing protocols
  • Assist patients with mobility during examinations
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
  • Lift and transport medical supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, squatting, standing, and walking
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods when required
  • Ability to perform repetitive clinical tasks

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar)
  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to all POA locations

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is confident assisting providers independently, comfortable supporting minor procedures, and able to work under pressure while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor. Flexibility and adaptability are essential for this multi-location role.

Compensation and Benefits

$19.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
