Job Description:

PsychPlus is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to support our clinical team and ensure a smooth, patient-centered care experience. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and confident in both administrative and clinical tasks. This role plays an essential part in maintaining clinic flow and delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Take and record vital signs, patient history, and medical information
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
• Perform EKGs, labs, and other diagnostic tests (as applicable)
• Support care coordination based on provider instructions

Administrative Duties:

• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• Verify insurance and patient information
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
• Handle patient communication, follow-ups, and call triage
• Manage medication refills and prior authorization requests (if needed)

Qualifications:

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on state)
• Prior experience in a medical or behavioral health clinic preferred
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems is a plus

Job Type: Full-time, In-person.
