Certified Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of medical practices and procedures, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care facilities, and hospitals. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering injections.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and assist with X-ray procedures when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Support emergency medicine procedures as needed in urgent care or hospital settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Uphold safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology.
• Experience in outpatient settings preferred; familiarity with emergency medicine or urgent care is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in specialized areas such as PICU or medical-surgical nursing are advantageous.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
