Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and collecting medical histories with accuracy and compassion
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic life support during emergencies
- Support physicians and nurses in various specialties including dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, and medical-surgical units
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans
- Conduct routine diagnostic procedures such as measuring vital signs and supporting laboratory or imaging tests in outpatient or hospital environments
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Support administrative functions like appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate medical records
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with exposure to emergency medicine or trauma centers (Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred)
- Familiarity with dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or medical-surgical units is highly desirable
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols
- Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical terminology for efficient documentation
- Previous involvement in inpatient care or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) environments is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to perform X-ray procedures or assist in OR settings is advantageous
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital experience are a bonus

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
