Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Must have peds experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various medical settings, including urgent care, internal medicine, and geriatrics. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively assist healthcare providers while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
• Support the healthcare team in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of physiology, particularly in areas such as geriatrics, emergency medicine, and inpatient care.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following experience or skills:

• Previous experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
• Knowledge of physiology and its application in a clinical setting.
• Experience working in hospital environments, particularly in internal medicine or pediatric intensive care units (PICU).
• A strong understanding of outpatient procedures related to operating rooms (OR) is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.50 per hour
