We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our podiatry team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a high level of patient care.
• Perform intake procedures including obtaining medical history, and current medications.
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information and update medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient service and follow-up care.
• Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and other relevant medical practices.
• Assist in the preparation of patients for X-rays or other diagnostic tests as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols within the clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Experience in podiatry settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of EHR systems and proficiency in managing electronic documentation.
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and intake procedures.
• Understanding of ICD coding and ability to navigate medical terminology effectively.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting, while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
