Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our physicians in a allergy, immunology medical practice. Your expertise and experience will be essential as you assist our healthcare professionals in delivering top-notch medical services to our diverse patient population.

General duties

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations
• Interview patients to obtain their medical history
• Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
• Perform routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks
• Phlebotomy
• Monitor supplies and report to supervisor for ordering
• Clean, sterilize and maintain medical equipment and instruments
• Properly disposes of contaminated supplies
• Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials
• Perform PFT's and administer allergy injections
• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information and manage appointments

Preferred qualifications

• Licenses/Certifications: CPR and first aid certification required; certification as a medical assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
