Overview
Join our healthcare team as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional medical support for functional medicine/family medicine providers.
Duties
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Assist providers with clinical tasks such as administering medications, drawing blood, preparing orders, and medication refills.
- EKG
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information and procedures. Currently use eClinical Works.
- Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards, medication administration protocols, and hospital policies for inpatient and outpatient care.
- Back up support for front desk.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program.
- Ability to draw blood successfully.
- Proven experience in medical clinic.
- Familiarity with EHR systems, ICD coding, and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation. eClinical Works experiance is a plus.
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS).
- Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to diverse patient populations.
