Description:
Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Head & Neck Surgery team. The CMA will play a vital role in supporting physicians and advanced practice providers by delivering exceptional patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring efficient daily operations within a fast-paced specialty practice. The ideal candidate is highly organized, patient-focused, and experienced in providing clinical support in a specialty healthcare setting.

Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures

Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints

Assist physicians and providers during examinations, biopsies, minor procedures, and treatments

Administer injections, medications, and perform clinical procedures within scope of practice

Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing

Perform EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other diagnostic procedures as directed

Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, pre-operative and post-operative instructions

Coordinate referrals, imaging studies, laboratory testing, and specialty consultations

Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)

Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies
-
Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and company policies and procedures

Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism

Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care

Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required
-
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification required

Minimum of 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a specialty practice preferred

Experience in ENT, Head & Neck Surgery, Oncology, General Surgery, or related specialty preferred

Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care practices

Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications

Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods throughout the workday

Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally

Manual dexterity necessary to perform clinical procedures and computer-based tasks

Fast-paced outpatient specialty medical practice

Frequent interaction with patients, physicians, providers, and healthcare staff

Exposure to clinical and surgical patient care environments
