Certified Bilingual Medical Assistant
The Certified Medical Assistant supports daily clinic operations in a fast-paced environment with high patient volumes, serving patients of all ages, including pediatric populations. This role includes a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities and requires flexibility to travel between clinic locations within the Inland Empire.

Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 8:300AM - 5:00PM
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs and will be compensated in accordance with California Law
Travel Requirements
- Travel to various clinic locations within the Inland Empire required
- Use of personal vehicle required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel between clinic locations
- Must maintain valid auto insurance in accordance with California requirements
- Mileage reimbursement provided in accordance with company policy
Duties & Responsibilities
Clinic Support
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and lab areas
- Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations)
- Perform clinical procedures and diagnostic tests including UA, EKGs, TB skin tests, immunizations, COVID testing, throat cultures, and assist with pap smears
- Perform blood draws, administer injections, and medications as directed by providers
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Maintain and update clinical logs (e.g., refrigerator/freezer temperature logs, oxygen logs)
- Prepare instruments and supplies for provider use during exams
- Assist with the care and support of pediatric patients, ensuring a sage, calm, and patient-friendly environment
- Provide Spanish interpretation support for patients during visits
Administrative & Front Office Support
- Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner
- Manage patient check-in/check-out, verify insurance eligibility, collect co-payments, and update records
- Schedule appointments, procedures, and follow-ups with accurate data entry
- Handle incoming calls, triage inquiries, route messages, and document communications
- Process referrals and maintain accurate patient records
- Scan, upload, and manage medical documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements
- Assist with front office duties as needed to support clinic operation

Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant diploma or certification required
Licensure/Certification
- Current BLS Certification
- Venipuncture certification preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an internal medicine or similar clinical setting required
- Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
- Experience in both front and back office functions required

- Proficient in taking and recording vital signs, including proper blood pressure technique

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- In-office position (remote work not available)
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Frequent walking, bending, and movement throughout the clinic
- Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling items up to 25lbs
- Frequent use of hands for clinical and administrative tasks
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and providers
Compensation & Benefits
- Position: Full time, non exempt
- Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on experience, bilingual ability, and location
