Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Be at the Forefront of Healthcare Innovation - Join the Althing Flagship Team at Riverland College

At Althing, we aren’t just providing clinical services; we are redefining them. Since opening our flagship clinic on the Riverland College Campus in 2022, we’ve been proving that healthcare can be modernized, efficient, and—most importantly—equitable for everyone.

We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who is ready to move beyond basic checklists and become a key player in a novel community health model. Whether you are looking for Full-Time or Part-Time work, we offer a collaborative environment where your voice matters.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • A Modernized Model: Work within a proactive, innovative care system found nowhere else.
  • Inclusive Excellence: Provide equal services across all demographics in a diverse campus setting.
  • Impactful Collaboration: Work alongside a team that values your input and treats you as a vital healthcare professional.
  • Growth Potential: As we grow our team, you’ll have the opportunity to master new processes and help shape the future of Althing.

Your Role & Impact

As a CMA at Althing, you are the face of our clinic and a critical link in the patient experience. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Clinical Excellence: Performing vitals, phlebotomy, collecting lab samples, and assisting providers with standard care procedures.
  • Patient Advocacy: Greeting patients, managing appointments in the EMR, and ensuring every visitor feels heard and cared for.
  • Clinic Stewardship: Maintaining a safe, clean, and stocked environment that reflects our high standards of care.
  • Innovation: Embracing and owning new processes that enhance our reputation and operational efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certified Professionals: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program.
  • Bilingual Skills: A huge plus! We serve a diverse community and love candidates who can bridge communication gaps.
  • Adaptability: A well-organized individual who follows protocols but thrives in an evolving, "novel" healthcare environment.
  • Communication Pros: Superior customer service skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team.

Ready to change the way healthcare is delivered? If you are passionate about innovation and community health, we want to hear from you.
