Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: Neptune, NJ 07753
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Pay Rate: Up to $21 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours per Week

Shift Hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a reliable and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide both clinical and administrative support in an ambulatory care setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient day-to-day office operations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies

• Prepare patients for provider visits and assist during examinations and minor procedures

• Obtain and accurately document vital signs in EMR

• Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test (after competency validation)

• Conduct UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and other laboratory testing (after competency validation)

• Assist with treatments and minor office procedures

• Perform medication reconciliation

• Screen and follow up on test results

• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention

• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times

• Deliver age-appropriate and culturally competent care

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain and update patient medical records

• Perform accurate EMR data entry

• Schedule appointments, procedures, and admissions

• Collect and enter demographic and insurance information

• Assist with billing and collections when required

• Monitor inventory and support routine equipment maintenance

• Conduct telephone and in-person patient screening

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required

• 1–2 years preferred

Certifications

• Current AHA BLS Certification required

• One of the following active certifications required:

  • CMA

  • RMA

  • NCMA

  • AMCA

Skills

• Proficiency in vital signs assessment

• EMR documentation experience

• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
