Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant or certified phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and medical administrative support, with experience in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, or hospital environments. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to our patients and ensuring smooth operations within the practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform intake duties, including obtaining vital signs and medical history.
• Administer medications as directed by provider and ensure proper documentation.
• Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management.
• Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication administration.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Participate in the training of new staff members as needed.

Requirements

• Active certification as a Medical Assistant or phlebotomist from an accredited program.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding.
• Experience in hospital medicine or urgent care settings is preferred.
• Proficiency in EHR systems for effective patient management.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
• Bilingual preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
