Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant or certified phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and medical administrative support, with experience in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, or hospital environments. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to our patients and ensuring smooth operations within the practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform intake duties, including obtaining vital signs and medical history.
- Administer medications as directed by provider and ensure proper documentation.
- Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication administration.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Participate in the training of new staff members as needed.
Requirements
- Active certification as a Medical Assistant or phlebotomist from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding.
- Experience in hospital medicine or urgent care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in EHR systems for effective patient management.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Bilingual preferred.
