Job Summary

Jax Family Health Clinic is seeking a compassionate and reliable Medical Assistant to join our growing primary care practice. We are a patient-centered clinic focused on providing high-quality, personalized care to individuals and families in the community.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, friendly, and comfortable working in a small clinic environment, open to growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, weight, height)
• Document patient history and chief complaints in EMR
• Assist the provider with exams and procedures as needed
• Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., glucose, strep, urine dipstick)
• Perform phlebotomy ( lab draw)
• Prepare and clean exam rooms
• Handle phone calls, patient messages, and appointment scheduling (as needed)
• Compliance with legal regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, Universal Precautions, etc.) and company policies and procedures is a daily function

Requirements

• Previous experience in a primary care or outpatient setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, and medication administration procedures
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
