We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support medical teams by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medical documentation, and ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care in settings like ICU, emergency departments, or post-acute care units.
- Administer medications under supervision and assist with procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when qualified.
- Maintain patient safety by using equipment like Hoyer lifts and adhering to infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing.
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatrics, or individuals with disabilities such as developmental or behavioral health needs.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
- Prior experience in settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), hospice or home care environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like urgent care or emergency medicine units.
