Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
  • Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems
  • Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks such as catheter care, wound care, and specimen collection like phlebotomy
  • Ensure patient safety by using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare teams in diverse settings including ICU, emergency departments, behavioral health units, and post-acute care facilities
  • Provide compassionate support to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or behavioral health needs

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations
  • Experience working in various healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care
  • Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) procedures confidently and efficiently
  • Experience supporting patients with complex needs such as ICU or trauma care is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a caring attitude focused on delivering exceptional patient service
