Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Apprenticeship Program

Certified Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program - Cohort 14

UTMB is accepting applications for our Certified Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program.

The program provides:

• Full-time employment and benefits as a Hospital Aide
• Minimum starting wage at $15/hour, with progressive increases during the first year
• Paid on-the-job learning and classroom instruction approved by Texas Health and Human Services
• Full year of mentorship by clinical instructors and experienced Patient Care Technicians
• Promotion to Patient Care Technician and eligibility to register for the CNA exam upon successful completion of the training

The minimum qualifications include:

• Age 18 or older



• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing and lifting more than 50 pounds

The deadline for applications is April 10, 2026, and interviews will be conducted April 21, 2026.

The cohort will begin June 8, 2026.
