Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Flexible Split Shifts (Norfolk, MA)

Join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) working flexible split shifts across multiple locations. Responsibilities

  • Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper protocols are followed in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support
  • Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound dressing changes to prevent infection
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare teams in acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers to deliver seamless patient service
  • Assist with medical procedures such as phlebotomy or basic life support when required; ensure patient safety during transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids
  • Follow infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards across all settings including emergency medicine, pediatric units, or hospice care environments

Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is highly valued. A background in geriatrics, behavioral health, or post-acute care enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient-centered services. Critical care experience—particularly in ICU or emergency medicine—is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices is essential. Certifications in basic life support (BLS) and familiarity with HIPAA compliance are required. Prior caregiving roles involving patients with disabilities or complex medical needs will set you apart as a dedicated professional ready to make a difference.
