Southern Magnolia Living is a small, upscale, boutique care home with only 6 residents, and two staff members on each shift. Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support
  • Collaborate with nursing staff on patient care plans, reporting changes in condition promptly and effectively

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure or registration (required)
  • Current Medication Aide or Tech (required)
  • Experience working in long-term care facilities, assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient service best practices
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting patients with complex needs such as dementia conditions or disabilities is preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting using Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility safely
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward elderly residents

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
