Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Private Duty Care! Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
  • Administer medications following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
  • Support clients with specialized needs such as dementia or Alzheimer’s care, behavioral health management, and memory care strategies
  • Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, wound dressing changes, phlebotomy preparation, and basic life support when necessary
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospital settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, providing critical patient service in acute or emergency situations
  • Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of patient care activities for compliance and continuity of care

Skills

  • Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral health conditions
  • Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or other EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care
  • Experience in diverse settings such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, or home care environments
  • Ability to perform complex caregiving tasks including medication administration and use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients or family members on care plans
