Certified Patient Care Technician

In this hands-on role, you’ll be right where it matters most: assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, responding quickly to patient needs, and keeping the care environment clean, organized, and calm. You’ll work side-by-side with licensed nurses, communicating clearly, spotting changes early, and making sure every detail is documented accurately. From delivering meals and helping with mobility to transporting patients and equipment, you’ll combine clinical skills with kindness and teamwork. Positions specified as “on call/per diem” refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an “as needed basis” to fill in for staff vacancies

Please note the following important details regarding this position:

• This is an onsite position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location.

• Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location:

• Texas: Lubbock

• Flexibility to work a day, evening or night shift as scheduled

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level -OR- Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT)

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

• Upon hire:

• National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals -OR-

• National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing -OR-

• National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Health Career Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalancy

• 6 or more months PCT experience in an acute care setting

• 6 or more months of Phlebotomy experience

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
