Moai is a social fitness platform that connects people with others who share similar fitness goals. Through small groups and coach-led support, Moai helps members stay consistent, accountable, and motivated in their routines.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and engaging coach to lead 2–3 small fitness groups (5–8 members each). This role focuses on building accountability, fostering group connection, and helping members stay on track with their individual fitness commitments.

You’ll work closely with your groups both in-person and through the Moai mobile app, providing consistent communication, encouragement, and support throughout the week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage 2–3 small groups of members
• Host 1 in-person group session per week in Santa Monica, CA
• Support members in setting and achieving their weekly fitness commitments
• Monitor group and individual progress through the Moai app
• Communicate with members 5–6 days per week via group chat and direct messages
• Provide encouragement, accountability, and feedback
• Foster a positive, supportive, and engaging group environment

Qualifications

• Experience in fitness coaching, personal training, or small group instruction
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and engage individuals with varying fitness levels
• Organized, reliable, and responsive
• Comfortable using mobile apps for communication and coaching

Requirements

• Must be located in or near Santa Monica, CA
• Available to host weekly in-person sessions at public places
• Available to communicate with clients virtually 5–6 days per week
• Access to an iPhone or Android device

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with client accountability and ongoing check-ins
• Personal liability insurance
• CPR/AED certification

Compensation

• Monthly compensation per group (based on group size and engagement)

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
