Certified Pharmacy Tech - Level 3 (40 hours per week) #3401

Reedsburg Area Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory & 340B Pharmacy Technician (Level 3) to help support safe medication distribution, optimize inventory, and ensure compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing Program.


Rotating 8 Hour shifts

M-F 7:30AM-7:30PM


Weekends: 9AM-5PM


Position Summary


The Inventory and 340B Pharmacy Technician is a Level 3 position responsible for managing the procurement, receipt, maintenance, and optimization of pharmacy inventory across health system–owned pharmacies. This role supports full compliance with the 340B Drug Pricing Program through routine auditing, split-billing review, purchasing oversight, and regulatory monitoring to ensure program integrity and audit readiness. The technician ensures accurate inventory levels, cost-effective drug purchasing, and adherence to organizational policies, wholesaler contracts, and federal regulations, including Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) and 340B Drug Pricing Program requirements.

Under the direction of the 340B Pharmacist Specialist, this position assists with drug purchasing optimization strategies, accumulation accuracy, compliance monitoring, and savings analysis to maximize program value while preventing diversion and duplicate discounts. The technician works closely with pharmacy team members to support safe, efficient, financially responsible, and compliant medication distribution operations.


Qualifications


Education & Experience:

  • Must be able to function as a Level 3 Technician. See Level 3 for additional details.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician training within 1 year of hire.
  • Current and active Pharmacy Technician license/certification in the state of practice required.
  • Preferred to have 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a health system or outpatient pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Experience with 340B program operations, drug supply chain logistics, and inventory management systems strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy purchasing, drug distribution systems, and inventory control.
  • Working knowledge of DSCSA, 340B, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software and wholesaler ordering platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and regulatory partners.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
