Duties:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Assist in the management of medication inventory and supplies
- Maintain accurate patient records and profiles
- Process prescriptions and ensure accuracy in dosage and labeling
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries regarding medications
- Follow proper aseptic technique in compounding sterile products
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care
Requirements:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Experience in an acute care or hospital setting is preferred
- Proficient in medication administration and infusion techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
