Certified Pharmacy Technician III

The Pharmacy Technician III Certified Retail Specialty performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, this role maintains workflow, inventory, billing and other complex pharmacy processes.Essential Job Function

• Receives and transcribes orders, answers phones, and sells prescriptions in order to maintain the pharmacy workflow.
• Works directly with pharmacy purchasing agent to maintain inventory.
• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
• Mentors and trains new employees to build knowledge of the job area.
• Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

• Required: 5 years
