Position Summary

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be responsible for managing tax preparation, tax planning, financial reporting, client advisory services, and compliance matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, client-focused, and comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.

This role requires frequent communication with both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking clients. The ability to explain tax, accounting, and financial matters professionally in both languages is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.
  • Provide tax planning and strategic financial guidance to clients.
  • Analyze financial statements and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Research and resolve complex tax and accounting issues.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate effectively regarding financial matters.
  • Support business consulting and advisory projects.
  • Review accounting records and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to improve processes and client service.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Communicate professionally with clients in both English and Spanish.

Required Qualifications

  • Active CPA license in good standing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal communication required).
  • Minimum 3 years of public accounting or relevant professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and accounting principles.
  • Experience with tax preparation and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with multi-state tax returns.
  • Experience providing advisory services to small and medium-sized businesses.
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
