Certified Public Accountant with Expertise in Healthcare

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with specialized expertise in healthcare to join our dynamic finance team. We are looking for someone who has significant experience in helping small medical practices structure their organizations in tax advantageous ways, specifically in an MSO-PC structure. Prior examples of successful restructuring is a must. You will work with our healthcare corporate counsel to develop a compliant and tax advantaged plan for our hybrid tech and care model and assist our internal CPA and CTO in overseeing our P&L and balance sheets.

In this pivotal role, you will leverage your comprehensive understanding of healthcare financial management, regulatory compliance, and advanced accounting principles to ensure accurate financial reporting and strategic fiscal planning. Responsibilities

  • Create a roadmap for MSO-PC set up and ensure model is compliant with local and federal laws.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and healthcare-specific regulations
  • Conduct detailed account reconciliations including general ledger, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers such as accounts payable and receivable
  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements related to healthcare compliance standards and securities law
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy in journal entries, accruals, and financial report writing
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliation and cash flow analysis to support sound financial decision-making
  • Mentor junior staff members on technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and internal controls like SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to optimize resource allocation within healthcare projects or non-profit organizations

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required with proven experience in healthcare or non-profit accounting environments
  • Prior experience with MSO and PC structure.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting standards, securities law, and governmental accounting practices
  • Extensive experience with financial management software such at NetSuite, excel, and ERPs
  • Proficiency in account reconciliation processes including bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
  • Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as accrual accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and account analysis
  • Ability to mentor team members effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy in financial report interpretation and financial statement writing

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
