Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs respiratory care procedures in the acute and critical care areas of the facility. Also responsible for point of care (P.O.C.) testing, arterial punctures, blood gas analysis, and quality control (QC)on the blood gas equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

Education/Skills

Graduate from an Accredited Respiratory Program

Experience

Will accept new graduates

Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications

Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license with the state of Texas.

Active CRT credentials by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire from an HCA approved vendor.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days from an HCA approved vendor.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 120 days of hire.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within 120 days of hire if working in NICU.
