Certified School Bus Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible School Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing safe and reliable transportation services while ensuring the comfort and well-being of passengers.

Duties

• Safely operate a school bus to transport passengers to their designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, providing information about routes, schedules, and any changes.
• Manage passenger behavior during transit, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all.
• Assist passengers as needed, including seniors or individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of daily routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transit.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus operation.
• Experience in school bus driving is required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to write clear reports and maintain accurate records.
• Experience in behavior management techniques is desirable, especially when working with diverse passenger groups.
• A commitment to safety and customer service excellence.

Pay: $27.50 - $34.75 per hour
