Certified Welder & Laborer

We are seeking a skilled Welder and General Laborer to contribute to various welding and pipe rehabilitation projects across different locations. In this role, you will apply your welding expertise while also performing general labor tasks to support project completion. Your proficiency in welding techniques and commitment to safety will be essential to our team's success.

• Execute welding tasks using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, ensuring strong and precise welds in various positions.
• Prepare materials for welding by operating angle grinders and other tools to achieve clean and accurate surfaces.
• Connect pipe sections by expertly welding pieces together at butt joints, ensuring leak-proof and durable connections.
• Conduct thorough inspections of welded surfaces and structures to identify and address any flaws or imperfections.
• Maintain welding equipment in optimal condition, adhering to safety protocols to prevent equipment damage and ensure a safe working environment.
• Install silt fences, fill sandbags, install sheet piles, and remove debris from existing pipes to support project requirements.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience as a certified welder.
• Proficiency in passing x-ray tests to ensure weld quality.
• Hands-on experience with various welding equipment and procedures, such as TIG and MMA.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings accurately.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Flexibility to travel and work on-site as needed.

Preferred Skills

• AWS welding certificate or other professional certification.
• Familiarity with safety standards and proper use of protective gear.
• Experience using electrical and manual tools, including saws, squares, clamps, and grinders.
