</ul>About the Role

As a Refrigeration Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facility. Your primary focus will be the maintenance, monitoring, and repair of our industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.

Our Expectations
<ul>
<li>Conduct preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems, addressing any issues and performing necessary repairs.</li>
<li>Keep a close watch on the refrigeration system's performance daily, meticulously recording all relevant data.</li>
<li>Perform routine visual checks of freezers, coolers, evaporators, fans, looking for ice buildup and ensuring proper drainage.</li>
<li>Fine-tune compressor pressures and temperatures to maintain optimal system efficiency.</li>
<li>Keep a watchful eye on ammonia levels within accumulators and high-pressure vessels.</li>
<li>Adhere strictly to lockout/tagout procedures and all established safety protocols, contributing to a safe work environment.</li>
<li>Undertake additional related tasks as required to support overall operations.</li>
</ul>
What You'll Need
<ul>
<li>Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.</li>
<li>Hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.</li>
<li>Possess a valid Ammonia Refrigeration Certification.</li>
<li>Have at least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance.</li>
<li>Demonstrated welding experience.</li>
<li>Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and utilizing hand, power, and precision measuring tools.</li>
<li>Willingness to work in diverse environmental conditions, including hot, cold, wet, humid, and elevated areas.</li>
<li>Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours as dictated by production needs.</li>
<li>Ability to successfully complete all required safety and food compliance training programs (SQF, GMP, HACCP, SOPs, Food Defense).</li>
</ul>
Bonus Points
<ul>
<li>Prior refrigeration or maintenance experience within a USDA-inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.</li>
<li>A consistent and stable work history over the previous 12 months.</li>
</ul>
