  • Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership

● Lead overall financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for multi-branch logistics operations. ● Develop financial strategies to improve profitability, efficiency, and cost control. ● Act as a key advisor to senior management on financial decisions and business expansion.

2. Invoicing & Revenue Management

● Oversee costings, invoicing, duties, and billing for Air & Sea freight operations. ● Ensure accurate entry of shipment data, rates, weights, and customer details in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks). ● Supervise timely issuance of invoices, debit notes, and customer billing records.

3. Cash & Bank Management

● Supervise cash handling, petty cash, and multi-location cash operations (Head Office, Warehouses). ● Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of all cash transactions with accounting systems. ● Oversee management of multiple bank accounts and daily financial balancing.

4. Reconciliation & Financial Control

● Lead vendor, customer, and clearing agent account reconciliations. ● Ensure accuracy of receivables, payables, and ledger balances. ● Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliation processes. ● Maintain aging reports and resolve discrepancies in coordination with internal teams and external partners.

5. Recovery & Receivables Management

● Supervise receivables recovery and cash collection processes. ● Monitor overdue accounts and ensure effective credit control. ● Track recovery performance and ensure timely follow-ups with customers and agents.

6. Payments & Expense Control

● Oversee processing of operational payments including rent, utilities, vendor bills, and outsourcing expenses. ● Ensure proper authorization, documentation, and compliance for all financial disbursements.

7. Reporting & Analysis

● Review financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports. ● Prepare and analyze management reports, variance analysis, and forecasting. ● Present financial performance insights to senior leadership.

8. Team Leadership & Coordination

● Lead and develop finance, accounting, reconciliation, and recovery teams. ● Establish strong internal controls and financial discipline across departments. ● Act as a key coordination point between Finance, Operations, and Senior Management.

Requirements

● Minimum 8–15 years of senior finance experience (CFO/Head of Finance level preferred) CA inter/ACCA or relevant qualification ● Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, import/export, or clearing industry is highly preferred ● Strong knowledge of accounting systems (QuickBooks or ERP systems) ● Proven expertise in financial controls, reconciliation, and multi-entity operations ● Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skill
