Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Follow-Up Billing Lead to manage and oversee insurance follow-up operations for our medical billing company. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AR follow-ups, denial management, and team leadership, with the ability to drive collections and improve overall revenue performance. Candidates must reside in Chakwal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the insurance follow-up (AR) team to ensure timely resolution of unpaid and underpaid claims
- Perform hands-on follow-up with insurance payers via calls, portals, and correspondence
- Analyze and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies
- Monitor AR aging reports and ensure follow-up on claims within defined TATs
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, HIPAA, and company SOPs
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance and productivity reports
- Train, mentor, and support team members to improve efficiency and quality
- Coordinate with charge entry, payment posting, and quality teams to resolve issues
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to maximize collections
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in medical billing insurance follow-up / AR
- Prior experience in a lead or senior role is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of US healthcare billing, CPT, ICD-10, ICD-11, and denial management
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English)
- Proven ability to handle complex AR and payer escalations
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage team targets effectively
