About the job Character Artist

Create visually compelling character designs based on concept art, briefs, and storytelling requirements.

Sculpt, model, and texture high-quality 3D characters for games, animation, or other media.

Ensure character models meet technical and artistic requirements, including topology, rigging, and animation constraints.

Develop detailed character assets, including clothing, accessories, and props.

Work closely with concept artists, animators, and game designers to maintain a consistent art style.

Optimize character assets for real-time performance while maintaining visual quality.

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in character modeling and texturing techniques.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Game Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Character Artist in the gaming, animation, or film industry.

Strong portfolio showcasing character modeling, texturing, and sculpting skills.

Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Blender, Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Unreal Engine/Unity.

Understanding of human and creature anatomy, proportions, and animation principles.

Experience in creating both stylized and realistic characters.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
