Role Overview
The Deputy Manager – Finance & Accounts is responsible for financial planning & analysis, accounting operations, taxation & statutory compliance, payroll management, and audit coordination.
The role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting to senior leadership and HQ (Korea) while partnering with cross-functional teams to support business decisions and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports and ensure timely and accurate submission to HQ (Korea).
- Track key financial KPIs, analyze deviations, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost optimization opportunities, process improvements, and financial risk areas.
2. Finance & Accounting Operations
- Execute and manage month-end and year-end closing activities in line with internal timelines and accounting standards.
- Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure accurate general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and accounting controls within the SAP environment.
- Manage payroll operations, including foreign expat payroll, ensuring accurate input validation, statutory deductions, and timely disbursement.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and file Corporate Income Tax returns and Foreign Expat tax returns, ensuring accuracy and on-time compliance.
- Compute, review, and ensure timely payment of Advance Tax, minimizing interest and penalty exposure.
- Oversee Transfer Pricing compliance, including documentation and return filings.
- Manage TDS calculation, payment, and return filing, ensuring employee and statutory compliance.
- Prepare, review, and file GST returns, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies to avoid penalties.
- Stay updated on changes in Indian tax laws and regulatory requirements and ensure organization-wide compliance.
4. Audit & Assurance
- Coordinate and manage Statutory Audits, Tax Audits, and other regulatory audits.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, addressing queries and ensuring timely audit closure.
- Finalize and publish audited financial results and key financial insights to senior leadership and HQ.
Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Indian taxation (Corporate Tax, GST, TDS, Transfer Pricing).
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Hands-on experience in SAP-based financial accounting and reporting.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and compliance frameworks.
