We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef de Partie – Pastry to manage a specific pastry section and support the production of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods. The ideal candidate will ensure consistency, presentation, and hygiene standards while contributing to menu development and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and plated desserts.
- Manage the assigned pastry section and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Assist in menu planning, new recipe development, and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Monitor portion control and minimize wastage.
- Supervise and guide commis chefs and pastry assistants.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely service.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie – Pastry or Senior Pastry Commis.
- Formal culinary or pastry qualification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking, and dessert presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
