Cheese Procurement and Scheduling Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase a wide range of cheeses, ensuring product quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain relationships with cheese producers, distributors, and importers.
• Track aging dates, shelf life, and storage conditions to ensure freshness and compliance.
• Coordinate inbound shipments and delivery schedules in line with production and sales forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase orders based on par levels and trends.
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and retail teams to ensure timely and efficient supply.
• Stay updated on market trends, seasonal availability, and regulatory requirements for dairy imports.
• Track purchase orders and delivery confirmations.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
• Resolve supply chain issues as they arise with quick, effective solutions and any issues related to deliveries, product quality, or vendor compliance.

Qualifications:

· Experience in food procurement, ideally within the dairy or specialty cheese industry.

· Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

· Knowledge of food safety standards, cold chain logistics, and import regulations (if applicable).

· Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

· Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software.

· Passion for cheese and a strong understanding of cheese types, aging, and handling is a major plus

· Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset

This position is full time, in person, Monday--Friday with occasional weekend availability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
