Job Overview

We’re hiring a Chef and Assistant Chef to join our team at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi.
You’ll be responsible for preparing, grilling, and serving burgers and hot dogs — ensuring top quality, consistency, and speed, while keeping the station clean and organized.

This is a full-time role during the festival period, ideal for someone energetic, reliable, and passionate about food.

Key Responsibilities

Chef

• Prepare and grill burgers and hot dogs on charcoal or gas grill.
• Manage food prep, marination, and cooking consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the workstation at all times.
• Supervise the assistant chef and ensure all food is ready before opening hours.
• Follow safety and hygiene standards (clean hands, gloves, hairnets, etc.).
• Ensure food is served fresh, fast, and hot to customers.
• Coordinate with the cashier and operations team for daily stock and orders.

Assistant Chef

• Support the chef in prepping ingredients (chopping, slicing, arranging buns, etc.).
• Help with assembling burgers and plating hotdogs.
• Keep the cooking area clean and organized throughout the day.
• Refill sauces, condiments, and supplies when needed.
• Assist with cleaning grills and maintaining tools after closing.

Work Schedule

• Start Time: 1:00 PM (preparation & setup)
• Festival Readiness: 3:00 PM setup – 4:00 PM opening
• Weekdays: Until 1:00 AM
• Weekends: Until 2:00 AM

Requirements

• Proven experience in cooking burgers, hot dogs, or similar fast food.
• Basic food safety knowledge and hygiene awareness.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle high volumes.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and reliability are a must.
• (For Chef) Strong leadership and time management skills.

Accountability

• Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation at all times.
• Ensure no shortage of stock during operating hours.
• Keep the grill area safe, clean, and ready for the next day.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: Up to AED2,500.00 per month
